Abstract

Conditions for reactive power compensation, consumed by asynchronous generators of small hydropower stations fro electric network are considered .As the source of reactive power at small stations non-regulated capacitor banks can be used. Their optimum power is determined proceeding from the conditions of operation of the small hydro-station and electric network.
