Responsibilities of the Editorial Board
The Editorial Board of the journal Scientific Papers of Vinnytsia National Technical University undertakes to:
- ensure fair, unbiased, and professional treatment of authors and their research, maintain confidentiality of the editorial process, and prevent any misuse of submitted materials;
- not introduce changes to the authors’ text without their consent and to agree on the final version of the article with the authors after editorial revisions;
- prevent the publication of materials that lack sufficient scientific value, do not correspond to the journal’s scope, contradict editorial policy, contain signs of plagiarism, or have been previously published elsewhere;
- ensure the involvement of independent and competent experts in the evaluation of manuscripts and apply a double-blind peer review procedure.
Responsibilities of Reviewers
Reviewers must:
- conduct an objective, unbiased, and professional evaluation of submitted manuscripts;
- adhere to the deadlines established by the editorial office;
- treat the received manuscript as a confidential document and not share it with third parties without permission;
- ensure the confidentiality of review content;
- not use information or results presented in the manuscript in their own research without the authors’ permission;
- provide well-reasoned, substantiated, and constructive assessments of the scientific results presented in the manuscript.
In case of a potential conflict of interest related to the authors or the subject of the research, the reviewer must immediately inform the editorial board.
If the topic of the manuscript falls outside the reviewer’s area of expertise, they must notify the editorial office and decline the review.
Reviewers must also inform the editorial office about possible cases of plagiarism, data falsification, or other violations of academic integrity.
Responsibilities of Authors
Authors must:
- ensure the scientific novelty, reliability, and originality of the research results;
- properly acknowledge the use of materials from other authors with accurate citation of original sources;
- avoid any form of plagiarism, excessive borrowing, or self-plagiarism;
- confirm that the submitted manuscript is original and has not been previously published or submitted to another journal.
Submission of a manuscript to the journal implies the authors’ consent that, upon acceptance, the article may be included in electronic scientific databases with proper attribution and retention of authors’ rights.
All sources of information used must be properly cited in the text, including previously published works of the authors.
In the event of significant errors or inaccuracies in a published work, authors must immediately notify the editorial office and cooperate to ensure prompt correction.
If the editorial office receives information from third parties about serious errors in a publication, authors must provide explanations, make necessary corrections, or retract the work as soon as possible.
Authorship Statement
The Editorial Board assumes that all authors listed in the manuscript are familiar with its content, agree to its submission, and have obtained the necessary permissions from the institution where the research was conducted.
Submission of a manuscript implies that all authors confirm:
- they have made a significant contribution to the conception or design of the study, as well as to the collection, analysis, or interpretation of data;
- they have participated in drafting the manuscript or critically revising it for important intellectual content;
- they have approved the final version of the manuscript and accept responsibility for all aspects of the research, ensuring that any issues related to accuracy or integrity are properly addressed.
The Editorial Board encourages scientific collaboration and expects that all individuals who have made a significant contribution to the research are appropriately listed as co-authors in accordance with these criteria.

Peer Review Policy
All manuscripts undergo an initial editorial assessment.
If the manuscript complies with the journal’s scope, it is sent for double-blind peer review.
The final decision on acceptance or rejection is made by the editorial board based on the reviewers’ reports.
The author has the right to submit one appeal. The decision following the appeal is final.
Manuscripts submitted by editorial board members are subject to the standard double-blind review procedure. In such cases, the editorial board member who is an author is excluded from the review and decision-making process to avoid conflicts of interest.
The editorial office reserves the right to edit and shorten texts. Significant changes are agreed upon with the authors.
